Matt Gilmore was called to serve as Mt Tabor Baptist Church's Senior Pastor in October 2008. Prior to that, he served as youth pastor and pastor in various churches in Florida. 

Matt holds a B.A. in Theology from The Baptist College of Florida (Graceville, Fl), Master of Education from Southeastern University (Lakeland, Fl), Master of Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Fort Worth, TX) and Doctor of Ministry in Church Growth and Revitalization from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, NC).

Matt is married to Shauna (Feb 1995) and have six children (Scott, Madison, Tyler, Lauren, TJ, and Josiah).

Matt enjoys scuba diving and loves being on his boat (when it works). He is a die-hard Miami Dolphins and Hurricanes Fan!!

Rick Futch has been with us since June 2021 as our Associate Pastor of Youth & Worship.

Rick has a Music Education degree from The University of Miami and a Master of Religious Education Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ft. Worth, TX). 

Kathy Phillips was born and raised in Syracuse, New York, and move to Port Charlotte, Florida, in 1979.  While attending college in Lakeland, she met her husband, Kurt, and has lived here ever since.  They have three children (Derek, Amanda, and Kyle) and four grandsons (Landon, Cooper, Luke, and Bennett).

Kathy earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Florida Southern College with a concentration in Finance and a B.A. in Legal Studies from University of Central Florida.  In addition to serving her church, Kathy works at a local Christian school as a high school math teacher and yearbook advisor.

Kathy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to NASCAR races (Go Chase!), and attending UCF football games (Go Knights!).  She also enjoys hobbies like scrapbooking and photography.
